As a quick reminder, the Elementary Greek class that I will teach begins this afternoon, from 4:45 - 6:00 PM. Tonight's class will provide a brief introduction to the history of the language, and quickly move to a focus on learning the script.
If you are interested in the class but unsure if you can commit, or have questions about what it will look like, come this afternoon because I will answer all of those questions. Or, if you are interested but the time/day is restrictive for you let me know and we can potentially move the time/day.
Some quick questions I've received: What ages is this available for? I am going to teach at a slower pace, but learning a language is difficult so 7th-8th grade is probably the youngest group who will be able to keep up. However, younger children can come and read with us, this will allow them to learn pronunciation and they can begin to see how translation works.
If you are a homeschool parent who is interested in teaching your child Greek in the future, this class would be great for you because it will give you a really good grasp on what homeschool curriculums are trying to accomplish. Or, if you know a homeschool parent (or anyone) who is or might be interested please forward this e-mail to them. This class is open to everyone.
Bottom line, if you're on the fence but have some interest, come this afternoon to see how fun it will be :)
